LUCKY GOLDFISH
How lucky can a goldfish be?
A neighbour found a goldfish in her back garden. It was still alive and flapping like mad. She quickly put it in a bucket of water. What’s more, she found its rightful owner.
She asked a few neighbours in her street whether they had a pond in their back garden and whether they had lost a goldfish. Eventually she found someone with a pond. He checked and yes, there was a goldfish missing. It was the one she had found gasping for breath on the grass.
The fish must have been taken by a heron or seagull who then dropped it by accident, rather than swallow it whole. Is that great luck or what?
